Self Care Club is a monthly body doubling membership to help you get your self care accomplished with more ease and support.
Self care can be really lonely and isolating, and it can be hard to prioritize care for yourself for a variety of reasons. Collective care is needed and through Self Care Club you get to do your thing, and meet your needs, while in the presence of others. You have a chance to be witnessed, cheer others on, connect and co-regulate. And most importantly you get to do what works for you - not what a wellness instructor is telling you to do.
The time can be used for anything...meditation, movement, meal prep, eating, laundry, scheduling appointments, journaling, creating art, calling a friend. Truly anything that you consider supportive in terms of self care.
All brains and bodies are welcome.

What is body doubling? Body doubling is a term, from the neurodivergent community, for accomplishing tasks in the presence of others. These drop in sessions allow you to check in with yourself and complete a task(s) that you'd like some accountability and group support around.

Meet Your Guide
I’m Caitlin Doherty (she/her) - a small-fat cis-gender neurodivergent Mindful Movement Witch. I'm a Scorpio and seasons, cycles, and astrology greatly influence my work. I help people who have been left out of traditional wellness spaces, and folks who want to do things differently, learn to connect with their bodies again and bring more of what they want into their lives on their terms.
I lead group and one-on-one Mindful Movement for Misfits sessions for you to gently move your body, connect to yourself and others, and practice care on your terms, just as you are. Because you don't have to "fix" anything to care for you and self care shouldn't make you feel worse.
I have completed a 200 hour yoga teacher certification program, Accessible Yoga training, Intro to Somatic Experiencing training, and am currently enrolled in a somatic based course, Embodying Racial Justice. I am also trained in lived experience which informs a lot of my work too. I am committed to learning, listening, messing up, repairing and learning some more, and creating spaces that are kinder, gentler, trauma informed, more inclusive and less violent for all beings.

The details of Self Care Club...
- Cost is donation based with a suggested donation between $20-$50 depending on what is available to you. If you need a free spot reach out to me at [email protected].
- Each session is 45 minutes and follows the same format: 1 min to ground (led by Caitlin), 5 mins to check in on what folks are focusing on, 35 minutes to do the thing(s), 5 mins to check out and update each other on how it went (and to acknowledge struggles, wins, celebrations).
- Once you register for the month you have access to all remaining sessions in that month. Registration is based on that month, not 30 days from when you sign up.
- This membership won't renew and you will need to register for each new month that you'd like to participate in.
- You may bring anything that you're working on to these sessions and your camera can be on or off. Everyone will likely be doing different things.
- You will receive email reminders two hours before each session.
